A MILE quake hit Siargao Island Wednesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The 4.7 magnitude earthquake was about 40 kilometers south of Siargao Island, Renato Solidum, Phivolcs director said.
It struck around 11:13 a.m. and has a depth of 16 kilometers.
Intensity 3 was felt in Socorro town, Surigao del Norte province and Intensity 2 in Surigao City and Dapa town in Surigao del Norte, Siargao Island and Dinagat province.
There were no reported hurt or damaged due to the tremor. A report from the Philippine News Agency
